German Grandmaster (2004), born in Georgia. Vice U20 World Champion and European U10 Champion 1997 and 1998. Finished 3^rd at the European U16 Championship in 2001, German U14 Champion in 1999.

Best results: PSV Rostock GM 2002, 1-2^nd; Bad Zwesten Open 2004, 3^rd; Lippstaedter GM in 2004, 1^st; Lesnoy GM 2004, 1^st; Neckar Open 2005, 4^th, Bad Wiesee 2005, 1-4^th; Zurich Open 2008, 1-5^th, Dortmund Open 2009, 1-2^nd. In match he beat WIGM Alisa Maric 4½-3½ in 2002 and lost to Daniel Stellwagen 1½-2½ in 2004. A participant in the 2007 World Cup and to the 2008 Olympiad.
