Romanian Grandmaster (1999). Third at the Romanian championships in 1997 and 1998. Best results: Espoo U18 1988, 2^nd; Bucharest (III) in 1993, 1^st; Bucharest (VI) in 1995, 1^st ; Bucharest PBP in 1995, 1^st; Samobor in 1998, 1^st; Sisak in 1998, 2^nd; Bucharest GM in 2000, 1^st; Gausdal IM in 2001, 1^st;  Norwegian ch. 2001, 4^th; Ciocaltea Memorial 2006, 2^nd. A participant in the 1990 and 2000 Olympiads. Best ELO: 2545 in 1998.
