Indian Grandmaster (2008). Indian Champion 2011. World Junior Champion in 2008.
In 2002 he entered the Limca Book of Records after becoming the youngest National Junior Champion (under-19) champion at the age of 13 years and 10 days. At fifteen he became India's youngest International Master, and at eighteen India's 17th grandmaster. He has won 14 international medals, including six gold medals from the Asian, Commonwealth and British age-group categories. Indian U20 champion in 2006 and 2007. Best results: Sangli Open Rtng (IND) 2006, 1st; Ciutat de Balaguer (ESP) 2006, 2nd-11th; Andorra Open 2006, 2-8th; All India Open International 2007, 2-8th; 6th Parsvnath International Open Chess Tournament 2008, 1st; Commonwealth Chess Championships 2008, 3rd; Kavala Open 2009, 1st; Wijk aan Zee C 2010, 2nd; Asian individual championship 2010, 2-5th; Reykjavik Open 2010, 1-3rd, Kavala Open 2010, 1-2nd, Dubai Open 2011, 1st; London Classic Open 2011, 1st A participant in the 2009 and 2011 World Cup.
