Icelandic Grandmaster (1986). World U16 Champion in 1977, Icelandic champion in 1977, 1982 and 1988. Businessman.

Winner in Plovdiv and Helsinki in 1986.

A participant in 9 Olympiads between 1978 and 1994.

Retired in 1996 he does not play international events anymore. Best ELO: 2555 in 1987.
