th Voronezh International Chess Festival. Also 2
nd at Cheliabinsk in 1989. Known to be strong in blitz game with few convincing victories in Moscow, unfortunately alcohol problems got him into trouble with tournament organizers several times. Best ELO: 2575 in 1993.
