Biography

Ukrainian Grandmaster (2002). Ukrainian Champion 2006. World U14 Champion in 1999. Vice Ukrainian champion 2003 and 2005. Bronze medallist at the World U14 in 1998. A member of the national team which won the gold at the 2010 Olympiad. At the same competition he was awarded a silver medal for the second best performance at board four.

Won or shared first at Governor’s CUP (UKR) 2001, Stork YM 2001, Pyramiden Franken Cup (EGY) 2002, Hastings Challenger 2004, Montreal International 2004, Gibraltar Open 2005, 1-6^th at Isle of Man Open 2007, 1-2^ndBosna International tournament 2010. In match he lost to Nigel Short 2½-3½ in 2009 and to Arkadij Naiditsch 2½-3½ in 2010.

A participant in the 2003 and 2009 European Team Championship and in the Olympiads since 2006. Best ELO: 2701 in 2010.
