
Vietnamese Grandmaster (2005) living in Budapest. One of the youngest Grandmaster in chess history (14 years, 10 months). Asian U20 Champion in 2006. Asian U10 Champion in 2000 and bronze medalist at the same competition in 1999. Asia U12 Champion in 2001. Ngoc Truong was the first Vietnamese player to capture an individual gold in a world chess championship. Vietnam’s 'athlete of the year' in 2004.
Best results: Budapest Spring Festival and in Budapest FS09 GM 2007, 1st; World championship U18 2009, 1-4nd; Aeroflot Open 2010, 5th; Biel Masters 2010, 1-2nd.
A participant in the 2007 World Cup and since 2006 in the Olympiads.
Best ELO: 2642 in 2010.
