Biography

Russian Grandmaster (2001). He was the youngest Grandmaster from Saint-Petersburg in the 300-year history of the city. Champion of Russia in 2006. Twice Russian U14 Champion in 1998 and in 1999, St. Petersburg U18 Champion . Bronze medallist at the World  U16 Championship in 2001, silver medallist at the Russian U20 Championship in 2005.

Best results: Maccabiah Games (ISR) 2001, 1^th; Essent Open Tournament 2003, 1^th; Suetin Memorial (RUS) 2002, 1^th; Petrov Memorial (RUS) 2002, 1^th Geneva Open 2004, 1-2^nd; Aeroflot 2007, 1^th; Biel 2008, 1^th. Also a quarter-finalist at the 2007 World Cup; Biel MTO in 2005, 2^nd; Dortmund in 2007, 2^nd; Astrakhan Grand prix 2010, 2-7^th.

A participant in the 2004 World Championship and 2006, 2008 and 2010 Olympiads. Best ELO: 2718 in 2009.
