Biography

Israeli Grandmaster (2002) born in Moldova. At the age of 13  he became Moldavian champion under 20. Second in the 1989 USSR Youth Championship. Student at Botvinnik-Kasparov chess school (1986-1988).

Best results: European U18 1993, 4th-6th; Cannes Martinez Open in 1996, 1st; Maccabiah Games (ISR) 1993, 1st-2nd; Tel Aviv ASA 1993, 1st-3rd; Balaguer Open 2001, 1st-3rd; Lisbon Open 2001, 1st-2nd; Albacete Open 2002, 1st; Albacete 2002 1st;  Bad Wiessee 1-5th with K.Landa,L.Aronian,V.Malakhov,I.Khenkin (more than 40 GM,performence 2872) Cerler 2004, 1st; Benasque 0pen 2005, 2nd; Ascona 2011, 1st. 

Between 2002-2004 he coached of Women's World Champion Antoaneta Stefanova. Best ELO: 2588 in 2003.
