France Leon Martin Gabriel (1885 - 1970)
French composer who was awarded the title of International Judge for Chess Compositions in 1957.

He was one of the chess composers who revived chess problems in France in the 1930's.

Editor of the problem's section in the Bulletin de la Federation Francaise. Columnist for the Comedia, a job that his wife took it over from him and continued it from 1934 to 1938. He also was responsible for the ANALYSE RETROGRADE section in Europe-Echecs until 1962.
