
Gulyaev Alexander Pavlovich

Georgian chess composer, International Grandmaster for Chess Composition (1988) and International Arbiter for Chess Compositions (1956). Pseudonym: Grin. He worked in all composition genres, but gave preference to the plans that lead to the modelmate. The Chairman of the Central Chess composition Commission (1945-50). Since 1924 he published about 600 problems and studies which 350 were awarded with merits including 82 first prizes. Gulyaev was USSR Champion in two-movers section in 1947 and four times he finished the second.
