Biography

German chess composer and composition propagandist Iternational Master for Chess Composition (1967) and International Judge for Chess Composition (1964). He was specialised in the sphere of retro analysis and he published around 1250 problems.  He was also the author of several books, including Rund um das Schachbrett (1947), Fairy Chess Review (1956-58), Kurioses Schach (1960), Schach ohne Grenzen (1969) and Introduction to Retrogrqde Analysus (1973).
