Austrian chess composer, International Arbiter for Chess Compositions 1956, a member of the Logical School in chess composition. Vice-president of PCCC (1957-68). He has published about 500 problems, mostly many-movers of logical style. Editor of the problem section of Deutsche Schachzeitung from 1932 until 1942.
