Swiss problemist. He has composed 600 problems and was inventor in 1921 of a chess variation which looks similar to the Fischer Random Chess. Some themes have his name like the Brunner-Turton. Author with Hans Klüver of Ein Kunstler und Deuter des Schachproblem (1958).
