Israel Afek Yochanan (16.04.1952)
Israeli International Master, International Master for Chess Compositions (1989), International Arbiter (1988), International Judge for Chess Compositions (1988) and FIDE Solving Master in 2005. Author, organizer, coach and journalist. Afek is living in Amsterdam. Winner of Paris Open in 2002. Taught by Moshe Czerniak, he composed some 250 studies and problems of various genres with at least one hundred prizes and distinctions in composing tourneys. Columnist for the Israeli newspaper Maariv he is also writing in several European chess magazines and Informant. Director of hundred of chess tournaments in Israel.
